My favorite block is the Banana filled basket… who knew you’d find a banana basket in the 20s!This quilt is dated 1921 the “Fruit Basket” from Ruby Short McKim pattern from the International Quilt Study Center, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, IQSC Object Number: 2003.003.0381 Strawberries are a favorite image of mine. I’ve used them many times and with a search at the International Quilt study center I found this beauty at a whopping 101 x 101 in size. I seriously would love to make this up! Dated 1983, it’s a new quilt done in an old style by Hortense Beck of Topeka Kansas. Once again it looks like the quilter used solids
