It is my opinion that autumn is the coziest and most magical of all seasons.  It is a time for family and friends, when the truly important things in life are the simple things.

During this enchanted spell, it is important to find inspiration that suits you and your personality.  It is best to redecorate your home to reflect the season and your own memories!

Look around to gather inspiration. The autumn spirit can be found everywhere.

Take strolls through your local mall or favorite shopping area and check out the displays.  Enjoy an evening walking your neighborhood with family members.  It’s a memorable way to spend quality family time while taking in the creative energy of others.  Oftentimes, specialty or retail stores will have the most trendy and extremely innovative visual displays.  This is an easy source of inspiration for your home as well.

Muted fall colors are a great way to bring in color in a non-imposing way and a way that you won’t grow tired of it.  Warm tones such as nutmeg, cream, tan, yellow, and rich brown provide a perfect base for the rest of your décor.  Throw in some bright and colorful throw pillows and blankets to make it more festive.  Utilize the same ideas for a colorful and celebratory plate setting or table centerpieces.

The key is to really think about what it is that makes the season special for you.  Decorations are there to make yourself feel warmth and at home in the comforts of your abode.
