Every outdoor space deserves a fabulous view!  For those of us lucky enough to actually have one, we must not take it for granted.  Treat it like an old friend that gives support and fills your heart.  Call upon it.  Don’t feel guilty taking an extra five minutes to simply take it all in.  We are blessed to have a beautiful world, and we must enjoy the simple piece of it that is ours.

There is so much that an incredible view can offer.  A fabulous focal point, hours of pleasure and relaxation, and a great conversation piece all your own.  Regardless of whether the view is filled with crystal clear ocean waves or richly green rolling hills, mountains, cityscapes, etc, they all provide such pleasure and simple happiness.

If you are one of those who has an incredible vista at your fingertips, it is always a good idea to make it the focal point of your backyard.  Take advantage of it by creating a space plan that orients your furniture and conversation or entertainment space towards the view.  You can also use your vegetation or landscape to frame the scene, providing an element that will draw your eyes to the landscape beyond.

Even if you have an incredible view but limited outdoor space, do everything you can to include an area to enjoy that vista.  Make it the sole purpose of your Fifthroom.  This solution can be as simple as two chairs placed so that you and a loved one can enjoy the wonders together.

Whatever your outdoor scene might be, enjoy it thoroughly and take full advantage of the natural beauty at your fingertips!
